New and Improved Feature: Signature Question Type

Share this post:

Have you ever used Alchemer to create a job application or to conduct online market research or an in-person survey that really needed a signature field, but you couldn’t get it?

Guess what, with the recently improved Signature Question type, you can easily get the signature you need while conducting your survey — even offline!

As part of the new core question set, the Signature Question type allows you to have survey takers sign their name using their mouse or touch screen, capturing their signature forever.

That way, you can get informed consent on an in-the-field questionnaire or even get a business contract or lease signed in minutes rather than wasting days scanning and faxing papers back and forth.

Using the Signature Question

To add this question to your survey, just simply add the Signature Question under Specialty Question Types, and then customize the question however you’d like. To learn more on how to customize it, check out the full tutorial here.

As for how this will look within your reports, the signature and the typed named will be included on each response within the Response tab.

And the typed name will be available to see within Summary, Profile, Bulk PDF, and CSV/Excel reports.

As always, we would love to hear how you use it, so please let us know in the comments below.
