SMS distribution is a very popular way of diversifying how you reach customers to ask for their feedback. It’s simply a way of sending an invitation to take a survey via a text message (SMS – Short Message Service) to somebody’s mobile device. Many customers use SMS campaigns for their Alchemer Survey distribution. Please note that Alchemer SMS campaigns can only reach mobile numbers in the USA and Canada.
Regulatory Changes
However, due to regulatory updates from carriers, there are several new requirements for sending messages to mobile devices. In response, Alchemer has made enhancements to our SMS capabilities to ensure we meet both carrier and regulation compliance. These enhancements provide you with improved deliverability of your SMS campaigns.
Phone Verification
We added an automated phone number verification process when you upload contact lists. This improves SMS deliverability in the USA and Canada by verifying that phone numbers are SMS-eligible before any messages are sent. Landline numbers will be automatically removed, ensuring that you only send surveys to mobile numbers, which increases your deliverability rate. A high deliverability rate not only ensures that more people see your invitation, but it reduces the chance of getting flagged for spam.
Optimized for Deliverability
In addition, we incorporated compliance guidelines into the SMS campaign setup and optimized the time of day that messages are sent to support higher deliverability rates and further ensure the success of your campaigns.
